Consignment Agreement
Consignment times:
Merchandise is accepted by appointment. Please contact Ellen by phone or email before making a trip to the store. We process items individually so we have set the maximum consignment at 10 items per appointment. Consignments can also be sent by UPS or the postal service. Unacceptable items received this way will be donated to charity. Please contact us before shipping.
Acceptable consignments:
Fashion & Art Revival specializes in high end, designer label women's fashion clothing. This includes special occasion attire. All clothing must be of current styling or identifiable as vintage/period. Clothing must be clean, pressed and free of smells, stains, pilling, and defects. Unseasonable items may be rejected or accepted only as donations. Items requiring dry cleaning will be rejected or cleaned at the consignor's expense.
Non-acceptable items:
We do not accept shoes, undergarments of any kind, maternity clothes, men's, or children's clothes.
Consignment Period:
Consignment period is 60 days from time of acceptance. After that period, items must be reclaimed within 15 days by the consignor. After that time, they become the property of Fashion & Art Revival and may be donated to charity, disposed of, or reintroduced into inventory as a wholly-owned item. The consignor is responsible for reclaiming unsold items within the allowed time period.
Donations:
Residual clothing is usually donated to selected charities. The disposition of all unclaimed items is the sole responsibility of Fashion & Art Revival. Tax receipts are available upon request.
Pricing:
Fashion & Art Revival reserves the right to determine prices and markdowns at any time without consulting the consignor.
Payment Policy:
Fashion & Art Revival receives as commission 50% of the final net selling price excluding taxes, etc. Payments to consignors is made within 15 days after the end of the 60-day consignment period. No checks are issued for less than $20. A per check charge of $3.00 for postage and handling is deducted from consignor's payments that are not picked up in person at Fashion & Art Revival.
Responsibility for Merchandise:
Fashion & Art Revival makes their best effort to merchandise, sell and care for all consignments. However, all consignments are left at the owner's risk. Fashion & Art Revival is not responsible for loss by theft, fire negligent handling or any other cause.
