Skirt design from the old west, brushed twill cotton fabric is durable and practical. The fabric has a great feel, soft, luxurious yet sturdy. It “feels Western!” Straight line is slimming and attractive. This is the perfect skirt for all western fashion occasions.
This Western/vintage style five gore skirt has a smooth-fitting front panel and small pleats at the center back for fullness. It has a back button closure. Approx. length is 36″, back length is 38″. In the late 1800s and early 1900s this style led a decidedly dual life. In the East it was the long, slender look for an idealized Gibson Girl. Its full-length was normally worn with laced ankle books with high heels to accentuate height. Its waistband that sits rather high narrows the waist and accentuates the bosom. Meanwhile, out West, this was one of the most practical styles for almost any use. Housewives worked and shopped in it during the day, wore one to country churches on Sunday, and adopted them for barn dances, picnics, county fairs, etc.
This is a five gore skirt with a flat slimming front panel and small pleats that let this rather full skirt hang with a narrow silhouette.
