These semi-formal shirts have been worn since the 1840s. An old west homeowner, merchant, gambler, banker, or professional could wear this style for business or social occasions. The banded collar offsets the pleated front, making the shirt casual but elegant. The pleated bib front extends ¾ of the length of the shirt and terminates in a tab fold at about belt level. The solid colors emulate the economical fabrics used by citizens of modest income. The 100% cotton weave is cool and comfortable.
